Skate Canada Member/ Insurance Fees

A $35 Skate Canada Fee will be added to the program prices below at the checkout once per skating year (September 1 - August 31). 

The Skate Canada Fee is only charged once per year per skater so any subsequent registrations within that year will not include this charge.

Program Description:

Synchronized skating, or “synchro” is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. The objective is for the team to perform as one unit executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music, while demonstrating quality edges, power and flow. Skate Canada’s SynchroSkate program includes a number of Synchronized Skating categories which accommodate skaters at any age and skill level.

Specific technical requirements have been determined for each level based on skill development and age restrictions. There are no test prerequisites to participate on any level of Synchro team.

Program Description:

CANSKATE (3 years & up) the $35 Skate Canada Insurance Fee is added once per membership year (September 1 - August 31st) at checkout.

Canada's national learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. This program focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Participants earn badges and other incentives as they learn fundamental skating skills. Lessons are given in a group format led by an NCCP certified professional coach and assisted by trained Program Assistants. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches conduct sessions using teaching aids, music and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment and promote learning. Sessions are 50 minutes in length, and include a large group warm-up and cool-down component. CanSkate is the feeder program to all other Skate Canada Skating Programs.
